Dice Takeda

Vice President
Dice works with entrepreneurs seeking to go on decade plus journeys. He finds joy in discussing markets, business models, and growth plans with CEOs charting their own path. He supports entrepreneurs through Pacific Lake’s Long-Term Hold strategy.
Prior to business school, Dice learned the craft of investing in high-growth software businesses at two different entrepreneurial venture capital and growth equity firms. As the first in his role at both firms, he was able to partner with great founders and CEOs while building the investment firm at the same time. He found the close collaboration with entrepreneurs his true north which ultimately drew him to Search and Pacific Lake Partners. Dice received an MBA from Harvard Business School and attended Southern Methodist University as a President’s Scholar.

More about Dice

My first entrepreneurial moment was...
Selling candy in middle school. The margins on the vending machines were too rich to ignore. After a few months, I was shut down by the school and developed a healthy appreciation for regulatory risk.
My weekend morning routine
Walking along the esplanade with my fiancée or FaceTiming family.
An entrepreneur I admire is...
Alexander Hamilton for designing and setting the institutional foundation of America.
Home is...
Texas where the guacamole and queso are free flowing and Revolver Brewery beer is on tap.
My favorite quote is...
“short-term discomfort for long-term comfort.” — favorite teacher from high school.
My favorite travel spot is...
Mexico City for the incredible sushi and taco scene.
