Adam joined Extended Care Professional in 2020 after working at Via Transportation as an Operations Principal. Extended Care Professional is a provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) software to assisted living facilities. Adam previously worked at Epic Systems Incorporated, a leading provider of EHR that holds the medical records of over 200 million people. Adam graduated with an MBA as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School, and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with highest honors, from Tufts University.
Coley Andrews is Co-Founder and the Managing Partner of Pacific Lake. Since co-founding Pacific Lake in 2009 with search fund pioneer Jim Southern, Coley has worked with over 200 search funds worldwide. Coley is a former or current board member of multiple search fund companies, including Morningside Translations (exit), FieldEdge (exit), Ethos Risk Services (exit), Flint Group, IS Entrega, Circle Surrogacy, American Security, and masLabor. Coley was also an observer at Vector Disease Control (exit) and Raptor Technologies (exit). Coley is responsible for leading Pacific Lake’s growth and has presided over the firm’s expansion from 2 to 24 full-time employees. Prior to forming Pacific Lake, Coley worked for Golden Gate Capital, a private equity firm in San Francisco, and in management consulting for The Parthenon Group.
Coley is also a Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business where he teaches multiple courses related to Managing Growing Enterprises. Coley is also a frequent MBA class guest at Stanford as well as Harvard Business School.
Coley graduated from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Coley resides with his family outside of Boston.
Paul Anderson joined BP Logix in 2020 after spending several years as an investment associate at Pacific Lake Partners, a leading private equity firm partnering with and proving best-in-class support for search fund entrepreneurs. As Chief of Staff, Paul drives the go-to-market execution for new industry verticals, oversees the finance function, and assists the leadership team with various strategic priorities.
Paul holds a B. S. in Business Administration from Georgia Tech, where he was a Stamps President’s Scholar.
Jim Southern is a Co-Founder and Managing Member of Pacific Lake Partners and a successful Search Fund entrepreneur. Once himself a beneficiary of the model, Jim launched the first Search Fund in 1984 under the mentorship of then Harvard Business School professor H. Irving Grousbeck. This fund resulted in the acquisition of Uniform Printing, a $43 million printer of specialty insurance documents. Jim served as the company’s CEO and Chairman for 10 years. Investor returns under Jim's tenure as CEO were 24x the acquisition capital.
Jim has invested in over 75 Search Funds as an individual investor and with Pacific Lake. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AlphaCredit, Arizona College, and BEX Realty. He is often a guest speaker on the Search Fund model at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School and is the subject of an HBS case on his first Search Fund acquisition. Jim holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and resides in Wolfeboro, NH, and Boston, MA.
Ben joined Ascend Software in 2020. Previously, he has worked as the CFO for a Fluorspar mining company in Mongolia and as a corporate attorney. Ben holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a JD from Columbia Law School and a BA from Brigham Young University.
Outside of work Ben is an avid backpacker having hiked 2,650 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada.
Andrea joined MyDocPlus in 2020, a network of independent concierge medical practices which are affordable and focus on primary care. Previously, she was part of Alpine Investors CEO-In-Training ("CIT") program where she worked for two Alpine portfolio companies. Andrea was most recently CEO of e-Courier Software, a last-mile logistics SaaS company within the Alpine Software Group family. Prior to e-Courier, she was Director of Strategy & Business Development for YDesign Group, an online retailer of luxury lighting and future.
Andrea holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where she was a four-year member of the Varsity Soccer team. In her free time, Andrea enjoys skiing the mountains of Colorado and traveling around the world to places like Everest Base Camp and South Africa's Kruger National Park.
Kevin Oxendine is a Partner at Pacific Lake Partners where he brings experience as a successful executive and operator. Kevin works closely with search fund entrepreneurs throughout their search, acquisition and operating phases and is a board member of search fund companies including Emporos, OneShield, Performio, and Kantola. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Kevin was an active Special LP. He brings special expertise to software and technology-enabled businesses given his industry experience.
Kevin is a two-time successful CEO/COO. At Wistia, a video SaaS company, Kevin led all business functions, including sales, finance, marketing, customer support, people operations, and business development. Over his three years at Wistia, the company grew from $8M to over to $30M in ARR before Kevin executed a PE-backed recapitalization. At Havit, a consulting firm, Kevin grew the firm from $6M to $36M in capitalized billings over three years.
Kevin graduated from the University of Maryland where he received the H.C. Byrd Award and earned an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business as an Arjay Miller Scholar. Kevin resides just outside of Boston, MA with his wife, Kate, and their two sons, Teddy and Chase.
Yarden joined Kantola Trianing Solutions in 2019 after spending a year as General Manager of a fast-growing direct-to-consumer startup. Yarden graduated from Harvard Business School, and prior to that spent six years in the Retail and eCommerce industries with Bloomingdales and Sephora. Yarden has a Bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
Kantola Training Solutions provides harassment, customer service, leadership, communication, health and security training services through video programs and courses. The company is based in Mill Valley, California.
Chris Hendriksen is a Partner at Pacific Lake Partners where he brings experience as a successful executive and operator. Chris and his search fund partner Andy Schoonover acquired VRI, a provider of remote patient monitoring solutions, in October 2007. As CEO, Chris led VRI through a decade of rapid growth and an exit to a private equity partner. Chris remained at the helm of VRI through 2018, and now serves as a board member. During his ten years as CEO, VRI grew revenue nearly 10x from $7 million in 2007 to over $60 million, and grew equity value by more than 25x. During his tenure, the company grew from approximately 40 employees at acquisition to more than 400 employees.
Chris currently sits on the board of VRI, Eyewitness Surveillance, PlusBlue, and Pacific Fertility.
Chris graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA and obtained an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He resides in Cincinnati, OH with his wife and children.
Jack joined Medicat in 2020 after graduating from Columbia Business School where he was a member of the Value Investing Program. Previously, Jack was a private equity associate at Fremont Private Holdings. Prior to Fremont, Jack worked as an investment banking analyst at R.W. Baird.
Jack also holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia.
Keith Gross is a Partner at Pacific Lake Partners. Since joining the firm, Keith has worked with over 75 search fund entrepreneurs and been involved in over 20 operating company acquisitions. Prior to joining Pacific Lake in 2015, Keith was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman in San Francisco. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on M&A and capital markets transactions.
Keith has worked closely with the entrepreneurs and Boards of Directors of several Pacific Lake portfolio companies, including Arizona College, Falcon Critical Care Transport, IS Logistica, Chronus, and Omatic.
Keith graduated as valedictorian from Hamilton College with a degree in mathematics and economics and earned his MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Keith currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Tina.
Lindsey Gray joined Pacific Lake in 2022 as a Partner and leads the internal operations of the firm and works alongside the Partners and investment team on key strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Lindsey was a Partner at Two Sigma Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund. During her 5 years at TSV, Lindsey led the firm’s portfolio support strategy and team and worked closely with portfolio company CEOs to support their growth. Lindsey also ran the day-to-day operations of Two Sigma Ventures and was part of the Investment Committee.
Lindsey received a BA from Connecticut College with a double major in International Relations and Japanese and obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School. Lindsey recently returned to the Boston area with her husband and three daughters after spending 12 years in Manhattan.
Don is an Operating Partner with Pacific Lake Partners. Don is focusing on replicable, sustainable sales growth across the Pacific Lake network. He is an active investor and LP in several PE/VC funds. He is an experienced senior executive who successfully helps build companies both domestically and internationally in broad range of software and business services. Prior to joining Pacific Lake Don was and Operating Partner with Primus Capital in Atlanta for 6 years.
He started as a “bag and quota carrying” salesman in 1981 and moved quickly into sales management and then to COO, President, and CEO. He has served on over 15 boards and is an experienced compensation and audit committee member. He has also performed over 30 due diligence projects. Prior to 2007 Don successfully managed complex corporate growth in a virtual startup, as well as a $750 million company in contract services outsourcing. He spent 16 years with Cendant and its precedent companies and was with Healthways for six years and helped them grow from $70 million to $700 million in revenue during his tenure. During Don’s 36 years as an executive his companies average CAGR was over 35%.
He has created commanding loyalty with direct reports, peers, staff, clients and investors. Don’s strengths are managing, leading, sales and marketing management, senior client contact, corporate vision, and leadership selection. Don is based in Nashville with his wife Kristin and they have two adult children Chase and Brooks.
Tony joined Emporos in 2020 after graduating from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Previously, he worked in finance and operations at health technology start-up Maestro Health, and prior to that, he advised technology clients at Duff & Phelps.
Tony also holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Ohio State University.
Scott was one of the early engineers at Bandwidth (NASDAQ:BAND), a telecommunication technology startup, and he served as the company’s CTO from 2005 to 2008. During this time, the company tripled its revenue every year and transitioned from a data service to one of the largest all-IP voice networks in the United States. He then led a product engineering team inside Symantec, building a workflow automation suite to automate IT tasks within Fortune 500 companies. Since 2010, Scott has been the CEO of Rocket Hangar, a technology product and services company primarily serving early-stage startups.
He was a venture partner at Sovereign’s Capital for two years, and is an advisor to multiple early-stage technology product companies. In 2018, Scott co-founded Spellbound Partners, a technology diligence and services firm serving the search fund and lower middle-market technology market. Scott lives in Raleigh, NC.
Ross joined NovoPath in 2020 after founding and running his own search fund, Crescent Way Capital. Ross completed his MBA from The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
He previously worked at multiple Fortune 500 companies in a variety of roles in operations, supply chain, and technology. Ross has a B.S in Applied Engineering from Michigan State University.
D.R. joined Arizona College in 2019 after graduating from Harvard Business School. Arizona College is a health-related trade school that offers programs in Nursing, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Massage Therapy, and Health Information Technology. Previously, he worked at Boeing as an engineer in a variety of roles in research, prototyping, and production environments. D.R. holds a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a masters in Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Kevin joined AsspenRidge in 2019 after graduating from Harvard Business School. Kevin previously served in the U.S. Army as an infantry officer in various roles, including platoon leader and company commander, both in Afghanistan and stateside. Kevin holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
AspenRidge is a mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services provider based in Denver, Colorado.
Federico de la Balze is a Director in Pacific Lake Partner’s Value Creation Team. In that role, he’s created and launched several initiatives including Pacific Lake’s Executive Leadership Program. He also co-launched the High Performance Sales Organization program and has been an active partner to dozens of search CEOs who are building scalable sales organizations. He is a board member of Axero Solutions and a board observer at I4PRO.
Federico previously worked at Boston Consulting Group in New York, where he ranked among the top 10% of his peer class. Federico holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also holds a B.S. in Management Science and Engineering, and an M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering, from Stanford University.
Hannah Barrett is a Vice President at Pacific Lake Partners, working closely with search fund entrepreneurs throughout their search, acquisition, and operating phases. She is a board observer at HigherMe and Triyam. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Hannah was a Consultant at Bain & Company in the San Francisco and London offices, where she worked with Private Equity and Hedge Funds on due diligence and value creation projects across a range of industries, including software, retail, healthcare, and financial services.
Hannah received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business as an Arjay Miller Scholar and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She lives in Boston with her dog, Pongo.
Ben Broughton is a Vice President at Pacific Lake Partners. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Ben was a Senior Associate at L Catterton, where he supported the diligence and execution of middle-market private equity investments into the consumer industry. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Citigroup in New York.
Ben graduated with Distinction from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Mathematics and Finance and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. Ben currently resides in San Francisco with his fiancée, Megan.
Liza Cherney is the Vice President of Talent at Pacific Lake Partners where she advises entrepreneurs on talent acquisition, organizational planning, training, and development. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Liza was a member of Spencer Stuart’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Marketing Officer practices where she drove the executive search process in all capacities including market insight and talent assessment. She started her career in Change Management consulting at Hitachi Consulting where she developed and implemented communication strategies, role delineation, process development, and knowledge transfer work.
Liza received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science from the University of Southern California, where she was a member of the Sigma Phi Omega Honor Society. Liza earned her MBA from Boston College with a specialization in Leadership & Management and was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship.
Alexis joined Arizona College, a post-secondary college that provides healthcare-related job training programs, as Chief of Staff in 2021 after attending the Kellogg School of Management. Alexis previously worked at Accenture out of their New York office as a management consultant and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Central Florida.
Jack Bulmer is an associate at Pacific Lake Partners and joined the firm in 2019. Jack previously worked in various roles at Advention Business Partners, a boutique strategy consultancy, from 2015 to 2019, where he advised private equity investors and their portfolio companies on a range of strategic issues. In 2013, Jack co-founded semiconductor startup Goodlight and led fundraising efforts to develop and license efficient LED manufacturing processes. Jack holds a B.S. in Physics from Boston College and a M.S. in Nanoscale Engineering from the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.
Bobby joined Echosec Systems as Head of Product in 2021 after graduating from Harvard Business School where he was a member of the Harvard Graduate Council. Echosec Systems provide security and intelligence teams with intuitive software to detect threats online prior to an event taking place. To start his career, Bobby served in the US Navy for 11 years as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer in Cybersecurity. Post military, he was a Global Supply Manager at Apple. Bobby holds a B.S. in Naval Architecture & Chinese language from the US Naval Academy and a Masters in Systems Engineering from Harvard.
Austin Lam is an Associate at Pacific Lake Partners. Prior to joining Pacific Lake Partners, Austin was with Boston Consulting Group in Los Angeles, focusing on work within the Corporate Finance & Strategy and People & Organization practices. Austin started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he supported financial diligence for sponsor-backed M&A.
Austin received a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Southern California as a Trustee Scholar. Austin is extensively involved with Value Schools, a charter school network in the Los Angeles area, where he co-leads a mentoring program to support high school students on the path to post-secondary education.

Rob Morgan is the CAO and CCO at Pacific Lake Partners. Prior to Joining the firm in 2017, Rob was a Senior Manager in EY’s Financial Services practice with eight years of experience servicing the alternatives funds industry. During this time, Rob provided assurance services to fund complexes and SSAE 18/ISAE 3402 controls reports of fund advisors and fund administration providers globally.
Rob is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and Massachusetts Society of Public Accountants (MSCPA). He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and Information Systems and an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Ann Fritsch is the Vice President of Administration and was the first employee of Pacific Lake Partners. In her role, Ann is responsible for varied assignments, including investor and entrepreneur communications, accounting, and financial reporting. Ann previously served as Vice President for a Florida corporation that Jim acquired through the Search Fund model.
Luke joined Radiation Detection Company (RDC) as Chief of Staff in 2021 after graduating from the Haas School of Business. RDC provides radiation dosimeter services to the Healthcare, Veterinarian, and Dental markets. Previously, Luke worked for Trilogy Search Partners, a search fund acquisition firm. Luke holds a B.A. in Biology from Whitman College.
Courtney Flynn is the VP of Finance & Controller at Pacific Lake Partners. Prior to joining the firm, Courtney was an Accounting Manager at a private equity firm and also worked as a Senior Investment Accounting Associate at a private equity fund administration firm. Courtney began her career at EY and was a Senior Tax Associate in their Financial Services practice with four years of experience servicing the asset management industry. Courtney is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Jeffrey joined Performio as Director of Finance and Operations in 2021 after graduating from the Kellogg School of Management. Performio is a verticalized software offering of sales commission software. Previously, Jeffrey worked for Maestro Health as a finance manager & at Baird as an investment banking analyst. Jeffrey holds a B.B.A. in Accounting & Finance from University of Wisconsin.
Jessica Natale is an Executive Assistant at Pacific Lake Partners. In addition to providing administrative support, Jessica is responsible for the event planning of various conferences, CEO roundtable events and Searcher workshops. Prior to joining the firm, Jessica worked in Asset Management as a Meeting & Event Coordinator for teams of Portfolio Managers. She joined Pacific Lake in 2018, and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College.
Josh joined Utility Cloud as Chief of Staff in 2021 after graduating from the Harvard Business School. Utility Cloud offers cloud-deployed software for monitoring and reporting on the health of physical assets. Previously, Josh worked for the MBTA as a deputy of lean analytics and as an associate at IGS (Investor Group Services). Josh holds a B.A. in History and Government from Dartmouth College.
Richard Reese is the former Chairman and CEO of Iron Mountain. When Richard took over Iron Mountain in December 1981, the firm had 70 employees and $3 million in sales, mostly from storing documents in several underground vaults in the Catskills. Over the past 25 years, Richard turned the Boston-based company into an industry giant. Iron Mountain now has 17,000 employees and $2.3 billion in annual sales, a market capitalization of over $5 billion, and stores documents and data on five continents.
Richard, a graduate of Harvard Business School, now resides in Florida.
Remus joined Banyan, a holding company for vertical market software companies, as Director of Operations in 2021 after a seven year stint working for Constellation Software. At Constellation Software, Remus was responsible for evaluating and executing M&A opportunities and leading post-acquisition asset management activities. Remus holds a HBA with distinction from the Ivey Business School.
Dennis Dracup has more than 30 years of operating and board experience in technology-enabled services. As Chairman and CEO of Language Line for fifteen years, Dracup helped grow and scale the company into the largest language interpretation company in the world. Under his leadership, Language Line increased its revenue tenfold from $40 million to $400 million – a feat he attributes to “hard work and focusing on the right industries and clients, with the best product out there to win those clients.”
Dennis Dracup currently serves as Chairman of the Board to Morningside Translations.
David Wendell has more than 25 years of experience in scaling service businesses. He was a key driver as Iron Mountain grew from $5 million to over $1 billion. David served as President and COO the last five years of that spurt, integrating 60 acquired businesses. Subsequently, David led BirdDog Solutions from startup to industry leader in several logistics specialties.
David has BA and JD degrees from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
John O’Connell is CEO and Co-Founder of Wind River Environmental (“WRE”), the largest provider of non-hazardous liquid waste services in the Northeast. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Hudson, MA, WRE has pursued a roll-up strategy in the liquid waste industry, having completed more than 55 acquisitions. WRE services customers from Maine to Maryland from 20 service locations. The company owns four wastewater treatment plants, including a waste-to-energy facility in Lancaster, PA, where it transforms grease and food waste into electricity. Prior to WRE, John had a successful career in IT, Finance, and Operations in big-box retail, having held senior positions at Marshalls department stores, Sears, and most recently as Vice President of International IT at AutoZone.
John holds a BS from Southern New Hampshire University and an MBA from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. John is presently on the Board of Directors of Fast Water Heater, a Seattle, WA, based company that provides water heater service and installation from Seattle to San Diego and Vector Disease Control International, a Little Rock, AR, based company specializing in mosquito control and aquatics management throughout the US.
Harold Ebbighausen was the Group President, North America Operations of Iron Mountain. In 18 years with the company, Harold held a number of key leadership roles and operating positions. In 1996, he was hired as Vice President of the company’s Data Protection business. Through a series of 17 acquisitions, he helped grow the company from $12-15 million to $150 million within five years. During this time, he managed over 1,000 employees, increased customer count to 50,000, and drove improvements in margin performance by over 700 basis points. Harold was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1998 and President in 2000.
Harold stepped into the role of Group President, North America Operations in 2004 and was tasked with integrating Iron Mountain’s three divisions (records management, data protection, and secure shredding), while rationalizing the management structure by market and improving customer service, operational efficiencies, and financial performance. When he began, Iron Mountain was a $1.1 billion business with over 10,000 employees. Within five years, it grew to $1.7 billion in revenue, maintained 150,000 customers, and employed approximately 9,000 people. In 2008, Harold was elevated to President, North America and was asked to lead the company’s Digital business. Here, he helped return the division to profitability and oversaw its sale.
Harold has also held a number of management roles in other services-based organizations, such as INSCI Corporation, Anacomp, and Endata. Prior to assuming these operational-based positions, he was in sales and sales management at Pitney Bowes and Metropolitan Life.
Phil Rosenbloom has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is currently the Managing Director at Bearence Management Group, a Regional Insurance and Risk Management firm. As an insurance advisor, Phil works closely with business owners in many different industries; his specialties include: manufacturing, real estate, wholesale distribution, and business services. Before his time at Bearence, Phil was President and Co-Founder of Rosenbloom & Rosenbloom, Inc (R&R), an insurance agency he managed from its inception in 1994, until its acquisition by Bearence in 2008. During Phil’s tenure as President, R&R grew its premium writings from $5 million to over $40 million.
Phil, a graduate of Stanford University, has also served on the Boards of Discovery Outsourcing, a successful Search Fund acquisition, and many non-profit institutions, including The College of Visual Arts, Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis Federation for Jewish Service, and the Jewish Community Center of Minneapolis. Phil, his wife of 30 years, Tammie, and their three children, make their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Phil loves to spend time in northern Minnesota kayaking and waterskiing.
Graham Weihmiller is the CEO of BNI International. Prior to BNI, Graham led Griswold Home Care and Financial Health Services – two businesses he acquired in 2009. Before leading their recapitalizations in 2012, he made improvements across their operations. Under his leadership, Griswold Home Care grew from 100 locations primarily on the East Coast to over 230 locations across the U.S. During that time, it was ranked #140 in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 and was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Philadelphia area.
Mr. Weihmiller is a frequent speaker on investment and operations strategies and has recently participated in seminars at Harvard Business School, Stanford University, and Georgetown University. He’s currently Chairman of Griswold Home Care, Chairman of Financial Health Services, and a consultant and mentor for various middle market businesses across a range of industries. Prior to leading the investment in Griswold Home Care and Financial Health Services, he led a team at American Franchise Company, LLC to originate and review investment opportunities in service businesses. Before that, he led major performance improvement projects at Bank of America in Charlotte and New York City.
Mr. Weihmiller received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was elected section president and awarded the MBA Award for service to the University. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the College of William & Mary in Virginia.
Ken Kirkham is the CFO of Carillon Assisted Living. Ken joined Carillon in 1998 and served as its COO for 15 years before transitioning to CFO in May, 2016. Prior to Carillon, Ken worked at KPMG and later ran entrepreneurial ventures, including serving as the COO of Bono’s Pit BBQ restaurant chain. Throughout his career, Ken has developed extensive financial and operational experience, including expertise in the start-up, turnaround, and merger and acquisition fields.
Ken graduated from Pace University in 1980, receiving both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in four years
